Almost There.......

It has been so hard to keep writing on my blog these last couple of months. I've been so busy with getting ready for the baby to arrive that I haven't wanted to take the time to write. But I thought I should since we are only 1 more week until my Due Date! I am so excited and so anxious to be done with being pregnant, and I can't wait to meet our little girl! We are finally all ready for her to get here. We have everything we need and the house projects are pretty much done. (Well, atleast the important ones that I wanted to be done) The house is all clean, and now we are just waiting.... and waiting.....

Here is a little bit of what has been happening the last couple of months:

On May 21, I had my baby shower that my Mom, Sister, and Sister-in-Law threw for me. It turned out awesome, and I am so thankful that they did this for me. We got lots of great stuff for the baby!

Over Memorial Day Weekend, Isaac and I went up to Park City and stayed the weekend in a hotel off of Jordanelle Lake. We wanted one last little getaway before the baby arrived. It ended up being really cold and it even snowed, so we didn't really get to do much outside. But we still had a lot of fun just relaxing, shopping, and lots of eating! :)

For the 4th of July, we had friends over. We BBQ'd and lit off some fireworks. It was a lot of fun.

We finally have finished the baby room! It has been a lot of work. I have the best mom, she has helped me with so much. Pretty much everything we have made and done ourselves. I definitely could not have done it without her. We recovered the rocking chair and ottaman, made the curtain, made all the bedding on the crib, Isaac painted the stencil on the wall, we painted a little dresser that is in the closet, and did lots of other little things. Its taken a lot of time, but is well worth it!

Third Trimester

Today officially marks my third trimester, and I am due exactly 3 months from today. This month has flown by! I can't believe it's almost May, hopefully the weather will finally start to get warmer. It has been nothing but rain and gloomy days this whole month. I've been working at my old job with Handstands and my days are just flying by. It's been nice to get out of the house for a couple hours a day and have some extra money. My sleeping hasn't gotten much better- I still toss and turn and wake up 50 times a night, and I hear it's only going to get worse. I am not looking forward to that! But we are just getting so anxious for this little one to get here. Her baby room is coming along and we just ordered the crib. I feel like we still have a million things to do before she gets here. I've made this whole list of things to do around the house, and I'm not sure why I'm stressing so much that we have to get it done before July. Ever since we moved into our townhouse we have been remodeling, and we are almost finished with the majority of it. So I have it set in my mind that it all has to be done. I think I just want it all done, because I know once she is here, the odds are it won't get done. So fingers crossed we don't stress ourselves out too much, and are able to get our list cut down! :) On Sunday it was Easter, and we went to Isaac's parents house for dinner. Here are a couple of pictures~

Sleepiness......

The last couple of months have been great! I finally got over the nausea and have been able to eat normally now. We have been able to feel the baby kick for the last couple of weeks. She has started to kick pretty hard to where it has been waking me up in the middle of the night. Not that I get much sleep anyway- I toss and turn all night long and get so uncomfortable. I'm not sure what to do..... I've tried using a body pillow but that is not helping much either. Poor Isaac- I wake him up a million times a night. I've also started to work part-time at my old job until I get closer to having the baby. It has been so nice to work a few hours a day, but when I get home I am ready for a nap since I can't sleep good throughout the night. I definitely give props to women out there that are pregnant and work full time and have other kids and stuff going on. I don't know how they do it- I'm always exhausted all the time! I'm hoping it will pass, but until then, I am fine with taking my daily nap! :) We have started to work on the baby room, and it is a work in progress. We've been trying to be healthy and go to the gym when Isaac gets off of work. So between work, the gym, and dinner, it is so hard to stay motivated and get things done. All we want to do is lay down and watch t.v. or a movie. The weather doesn't help either. Is it just me, or does everyone else feel like they have no motivation and not want to do anything when the weather is gloomy and cold? When it's sunny and warm outside, I always want to get going and get things done. Summer..... please come soon!!

It's a.......

GIRL!!

We are so excited to be having a Girl! We went to Fetal Studios in the Southtowne Mall on Thursday February, 3 2011. I am so glad we decided to go there. I was thinking to just wait until our Doctor appointment to find out, but we would have had to wait until I am 20 weeks. That would be another month! I couldn't wait that long to find out. I've been so anxious to know so we can start decorating and buying cute stuff for whatever we were having. Now that we know it is a girl, I have a million ideas in my head with what I want to do for the nursery. Watching the ultrasound was such an awesome experience. She was so cute- in the beginning she had the hiccups and kept bouncing around for a couple of minutes. Once she stopped hiccuping, she was moving around a lot. She kept turning and we could see her back and then she would turn and we could see the whole front of her face. Towards the end, she would take a bunch of big gulps and swallow. It was so cute seeing Isaac when we found out it was a girl. I thought for sure it was going to be a boy, and Isaac has been saying girl the whole time. He is going to be such a cute and great dad! Were so excited to start feeling her kick in the next couple of weeks.

Time Flies

I can't believe it has already been over a year since I last posted! I'm going to start writing on my blog again because.....

We're Pregnant! (Pretty much everyone already knows)

But I wanted to start up again so we can have all the memories of our new adventure. First things first- how we found out I was pregnant. We started trying in August, 2010, and I was so excited that the first month I thought for sure I was. But when I took the test and it was negative, I was really sad and disappointed. So from that moment on, every month I didn't get my hopes up at all and just assumed I wasn't. A couple months passed, and it was November. Isaac and I went up to Bear Lake with my parents for our own little Thanksgiving. I went up a couple days earlier with my mom to get the cabin all ready to go. We woke up Wednesday morning, and I had a crazy dream that all my teeth rotted and fell out. I have heard that when you have that dream it can mean you are pregnant. My mom had a feeling that whole week that I was, but I still just had in my mind that I wasn't, and said that the dream could also mean a lot of other things. So over the next couple of days, when I would wake up I would feel sick to my stomach. My mom kept saying that I was pregnant, and I kept telling her that I wasn't and I was just feeling sick from all the food we had eaten up there. Isaac and I left on Friday afternoon, and on the car ride we were talking about that I might just be. So when we got home, I decided to take the test. I really wasn't too excited because for some reason I still thought I wasn't and it was just going to get our hopes up again and we would be disappointed. So I finally looked and it was positive! We were so excited, but I wanted to take another one just in case..... I know that's crazy because if it's positive, it's positive. But I wanted the reassurance. And that one came back as positive too! I wanted to wait to tell anyone for a little while, but as soon as I talked to my mom on the phone a couple of days later, she asked if I was. And I couldn't lie, so I told her and my dad, then we told Isaac's parents. and then I just couldn't hold it in and started telling more family and friends!

I called our Doctor to set up our first appointment in the beginning of December. We couldn't go in until January 11, 2011. I couldn't believe how long we would have to wait- I was so anxious! But this was the only time she could see us for an afternoon appointment. So luckily the holidays were coming up, and we kept busy with lots of family stuff. Our appointment finally arrived yesterday, and we were so excited. We got to hear the heart beat, and it was amazing! It really hit me that there is a baby in there-this whole time I haven't really felt that I was actually pregnant (besides all the nausea). It was such a cool feeling. We are so excited and now anxious to find out if it will be a boy or girl so we can start decorating the room. :)

We also played cards, Rock Band, and the boys played Madden. On Friday, we hung out with my cousin Mauri and her boyfriend Chase- we went down the the mill by ASU and walked around for a bit. After, we headed to Sonic for milkshakes and rented Angels & Demons. Saturday morning, my sister & I went to my cousin's wife baby shower. After, we headed back to my sister's to set up for her baby shower. We had lots of fun playing games and eating yummy food! My Uncle came over and made crepes. He is such a good cook!

You've got to love Arizona-mini golfing outside at the end of November!!! We had so much visiting all our family and wish we all lived closer! Can't wait until January so I can come back out there, and my niece will finally be here!!!

-Halloween-

Halloween was so much fun this year! My friends Kristy and Jenny and I decided we wanted to be the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. We were thinking how much easier and cheaper it would be to make our costumes...... well-it was so hard to find anything green-we found every color of tights but green, we found every color of shorts but brown, and every color of tank top but green. So we bought everything white, and dyed it all. They turned out really cute! I was proud of us! They took a lot of time, but it was worth it! Isaac was going to be Splinter, but all the robes we found were way expensive, so we never got one and kind of forgot about his costume. I was so busy doing mine, and he's a guy, so he didn't come up with anything. So the last minute, we came up with FaceBook-we stole it off of the Office because it was last minute-but Isaac wanted it to be a little different, so he printed out on a paper "Predator"-so he was a FaceBook Predator..... haha We went to Kristy's to get ready and she made us dinner. Then we went trick-or-treating for a little bit with everyone and took Dylan's son. After, we went to Jenny's house-her family does a big Haunted House in their backyard every year. It was so good-it seemed like we were in a real haunted house. After, Isaac and I went back home, because he really wanted to hand out candy to the trick-or-treaters since it was our first year in our home. Not too many came by since we got home late, but it was lots of fun. Afterwards, we had our friends come by and hang out for a little while. It was so much fun-I'm sad that this time of year has already passed. Halloween is both mine and Isaac's favorite holiday!
